ABOUT Jhatpat Mutton Curry RECIPE

This is a delicately spiced and easy to make Mutton Curry.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton - 500 gms
  2. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  3. Yoghurt - 4 to 5 tsp
  4. Onion Sliced - 2 medium sized
  5. Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
  6. Garam Masala powder - 2 tsp
  7. Ginger Chopped - 1 tsp
  8. Garlic - 10 cloves
  9. Green Chillies - 3 to 4
  10. Lime Juice - 1 tsp
  11. Oil - 4 to 5 tsp
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton with turmeric powder, yogurt, lime juice and salt for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  2. Heat oil for the masala and saute the onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Grind them to a fine paste and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and saute till it turns pink. Add the ground paste and mix well for few minutes.
  4. Next, add the mutton and chilli powder, mix for few minutes till the oil separates itself. Add water and salt to taste.
  5. Cover the pressure cooker with it's lid and cook till pressure is released five times.
  6. Then remove from heat and open the cooker when it cools.
  7. Cook it for a few minutes on a low flame.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala and serve it hot.
