What are you making? So the trick is to use warm water not hot water other wise it doesn't work. Dip your little finger in the water, it should slightly warm. Keep in a warm place.
Nice! I was going to try it too. See what I do is microwave the water for 20 to 30 seconds and then wait for 1 to 2 minutes before proceeding with the recipe. Hope this helps... Good Luck!
Ok so first check expiry date on the packet, if yeast does not froth and bubble in lukewarm water with sugar added means its useless..DO not proceed. Start again. Do not add salt or hot water, both kill yeast. Last but not the least try to get fresh yeast..you will be super happy with the results!!
