This mouthwatering dish originates from Sweden in which the potatoes are sliced upto three fourth deep and baked .While this dish is baking your home will be filled with heavenly aroma of garlic and herbs.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Big long potatoes-3
  2. Olive oil-2 tbsp
  3. Garlic-5-6 cloves
  4. Mixed herbs-1 tbsp
  5. Salt
  6. Black pepper-1 tsp
  7. Butter-1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. CUT A THIN STRIP FROM THE BASE OF A CLEAN, LONG POTATO
  2. INVERT TWO SPOONS, KEEP THE POTATO IN BETWEEN SO THAT THE KNIFE DOESN'T CUT THROUGH COMPLETELY, MAKE THIN STRIPS
  3. IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS
  4. BRUSH THE POTATOES WITH OLIVE OIL
  5. SPRINKLE SALT TO TASTE
  6. SPRINKLE 1 TSP PEPPER
  7. BAKE IN A PRE HEATED OVEN AT 180 DEGREES FOR 10 MINS
  8. IN 2 TBSP HOT OLIVE OIL, ADD 6-7 CRUSHED GARLIC CLOVES
  9. ADD 1 TBSP MIXED HERBS
  10. BRUSH THE INFUSED OIL OVER THE BAKED POTATOES, PUT BACK TO BAKE FOR ANOTHER 20 MINS
  11. MELT 1 TBSP BUTTER IN THE INFUSED OIL
  12. POUR THIS OVER THE HASSELBACK POTATOES
  13. SPRINKLE SOME CORIANDER / SPRING ONION GREENS, SERVE HOT
