ABOUT CARROT FUDGE/GAJAR HALWA MILK BARFI WITH TWIST RECIPE

You must have tried carrot halwa or carrot fudge, but have you ever tried into pie plate like have shown over here? If no then must try on this Diwali to impress your guests or loved ones as it's very attractive and rich in look and delicious in taste!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Carrot, grated 300 grams
  2. Milk 1 cup
  3. Khoya/mava 200 grams
  4. Sugar 1 cup
  5. Homemade cream 2 tablespoon
  6. Few saffron strands, diluted in 2 tbsp milk
  7. Ghee 3 tablespoon
  8. Dried fruits of your choice

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized sauce pan, add grated carrot first.
  2. Stir it well.
  3. Add milk and stir it well.
  4. Place the lid on top and cook for 5 -7 minutes.
  5. Add cream and mix it well.
  6. Stir continousely till milk evaporates.
  7. Add safforn diluted milk,ghee and mix it well.
  8. Add 1/2 cup sugar till halwa gets thick.
  9. Add 1/2 mava (100 grams) into halwa and again stir until it get thickens.
  10. Now switch off the gas and remove halwa from the saucepan to the pie tray or any other plate of your choice and gently press with your fingers.
  11. In a saucepan add clarified butter/ghee and remaining mava(100 grams) into it.
  12. Mix it well until it gets sticky.
  13. Add sugar and mix well.
  14. Stir until it gets thick
  15. Now get the halwa from the refrigerator and apply the mava layer on top.
  16. Press it gently with your palm.
  17. Now add dried fruits as topping on top and again refrigerate for one hour.
  18. Remove the pie plate and paper placed at the base. Cut and serve.
