There are few tips to follow 1. Pre heat oven for just 10 minutes at 180 degree and not more or less. 2. All the ingredients must be at room temperature. Only if the recipe is specific of adding cold butter do so. Or else room temperature only. 3. Measure all your ingredients exactly as the recipe. 4. Do not add heaped spoons or cups. All the measures must be leveled. Weight measurements are best 5. Once you mix both the wet add dry ingredients, bake immediately. Do not keep the batter out for a long time. 6. Do not keep opening the oven in between to keep checking on the cake. 7. Once you mix the wet and the dry ingredients, do not beat. Just gently mix the batter. 8. Too little liquid in the cake will make it hard. 9. Once the baking you time is over, check with a tooth pick to check the doneness of the cake. If done take it immediately out of the oven. Keep it in the oven will over bake the cake 10. Last but not the least, baking is the best way of cooking!! So enjoy and be happy!!!

Check ur ingredients portion and use cut and fold method for mixing the ingredients. Dry abd wet ingredients must be mixed separately first and then mix all together.
