Nose bleeding is common when you are living in a place that has low humidity or very dry weather. Other reasons for nose bleeding might be due to a dry nasal passage, irritation in the nose, allergies, nose picking, sneezing or rubbing hard or due to any infections. You needn’t panic when you see your nose bleeding.

Instead, try these simple home remedies to get rid of this nose bleeding-

1. Goldenseal

Goldenseal is a natural remedy with no side effects that keep all bacteria and infections out. This has natural antiseptic and antimicrobial properties making it not only the best remedy for curing a bleeding nose but also in preventing further occurrence. Mix a teaspoon of goldenseal in a bowl of water and inhale the fumes. This will soothe the nostrils and keep them cool.


2. Cayenne Pepper

The cayenne goes through your circulatory system and reduces the pressure from the hemorrhaged area and it also helps in coagulation of blood. Grab this simple yet powerful remedy for your nose bleeding to stop very quickly. Cayenne pepper is good to stop both internal and external bleeding. So mix one and a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper in warm water and drink it soon after you see symptoms of a bleeding nose.


3. Nettle Leaf

 Nettle leaf is a herbal remedy for your nose which is a hemostatic agent. It is also an effective astringent. You can prepare a tea from nettle leaf and drink it to get rid of nose bleeding. Else you can allow the nettle leaf to brew in hot water, soak a cotton ball and apply on your nose. Allow this for few minutes and remove it. This also helps recover from a bleeding nose.

4. Witch Hazel

 This is rich in tannins and acts as an astringent. Witch hazel helps in easing the mucous membrane hence it works best for a bleeding nose. Soak a cotton ball in witch hazel extract and apply it in the nostril. Leave it for few minutes and remove it.


5. Petroleum Jelly

This is an all-time easily available product which is also very inexpensive. Known for its viscous and moisturizing properties, petroleum jelly can be used on your lips and in your nose to relive that dryness in the nasal passage. Take a little in your index finger and apply slightly in your nostrils throughout the day whenever you feel the dryness.
