5 Tests every Woman should get after 30

Women take care of the entire household but do they take care of themselves?

Most often, NO!!

Yes, women, the homemakers, who take care the health of all family members, cleaning and washing clothes, do not take care of themselves. Earlier, even I did not get time for myself and wasn’t aware of my health and wellbeing.

Recently, I spoke to a doctor friend, I got to know that as women age, their body becomes prone to various diseases and all women aged 30 and above must get the following 5 tests:

1. Skin Cancer Test

Every day, we apply so many different products on our face, including sunscreen lotions, anti-aging creams, makeup etc and many of these can harm the skin. So, it is of utmost importance to get a skin cancer test.


2. BMI Test

Body mass index (BMI) helps to get a gauge of your body fat. The ideal body mass index of women is 22. If your BMI is more than this, it signifies that you are obese and have weak muscles.


3. Breast Examination

Women above 30 must get a breast examination, in order to rule out any lumps. This may be done with hands or using a low dose x-ray called mammography. A mammogram helps to detect breast diseases and breast cancer in women.


4. Pap Smear

A Pap smear is a test that helps to detect cervical cancer and HPV – Human Papillomavirus. It is conducted by scraping the cells of the cervix, which are then examined for any abnormal growth.


5. Eye Testing

Since most people spend a lot of time in front of their laptop and smartphones, it is of utmost importance to get your eyes tested.
