Immunity Boosting Kid’s Food

Childhood is a phase when special care needs to be taken in order to protect the body from various infections and diseases. The optimal immune system develops the body of a child in such a way that he/she doesn’t catch any disease even during the flu season. That is why, parents should start building up their child’s immune system by selecting the best combination of foods rich in various vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

  • Mushroom

    Mushrooms are quite advantageous for growing children.  It contains antibacterial as well as anti-tumor properties that protect the body from any cold, flu and various other infections.   • Berries

These fruits are good for the immunity of the kids as they contain high water content. These protect the body from getting dehydrated during summers. In addition to it, they provide Vitamin C, bioflavonoids as well as phytochemicals to the body, which protects the cells from serious injuries.  


  • Sweet Potato


Kids who are not active enough have a lower metabolism rate which may make them fat and dwindle their digestive rate. So, such kids should eat sweet potatoes to gain back energy. Sweet Potato contains Vitamin A in large quantity. So, it helps the body in fighting against harmful viruses. It also increases the metabolism rate.


  • Garlic


Garlic is one of the best Indian food items for immunity enhancement. It generates white blood cells in the body that contains antiviral and antibacterial properties. It acts as an antioxidant. Garlic protects the body from catching a cold and flu. The children may not like garlic because of its pungent smell and taste, but it can be mixed in soups, vegetables as well as in salads and given to the kids.


  • Yogurt


Yogurt is quite popular among kids. It can be eaten along with food or simply with sugar. It protects the body from gastrointestinal problems and strengthens the intestines. Yogurt also enhances the immune system and protects it from cancer viruses.


  • Oats and Barley


Grains that are rich in Betaglucan must be given to the kids to strengthen their immune system. Oats and Barley are the most flavored grains and they are rich in antioxidants and antimicrobials.

So, these are some amazing food items that can enhance the immune system of the kids. You should include these in their daily diet to keep the kids away from diseases. However, kids may not like some of these foods. So it’s upon you how to introduce your kids with these food items.
