In a conference, she mentioned the benefits of eating Sabudana. Actually, she used a word called “Cassava”. Do you know what is Cassava? Cassava is a root which is native to the northern region of Brazil but has originated from West Indies. The starch extracted from the Cassava root is known as Sabudana.

According to Rujuta Diwekar, Sabudana is a superfood. She said that “Superfood of the past, is the pseudo-food of future”. A superfood is a nutrient-rich food which hosts all the processes of our body dynamically. Generally, this type of food contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. She said that Sabudana is the best food for us.
According to her, Sabudana khichdi is the most nutritious meal she has ever had. This is made up of sabudana, ghee, jeera, curry leaves, green chili. We can also use grated coconut for garnishing.
She said that “It will allow a good hormonal balance, especially in a woman’s body. That’s why it would be taken by women during their vrats.”
