Salman Khan: A Ladies Man…

Salman Khan is one of the 3 Khans of Bollywood. Salman is loved by fans across the world, and having Salman star in a film is a sure shot way of ensuring that the film will enter the Rs. 100-crore club of Bollywood. The love that Salman gets from his fans, makes him one of the most bankable superstars in the film industry today.

Be it teenagers, young adults or women-everyone is crazy about Salman Khan! It is no wonder then that this superstar, even at the age of 52 years, still remains one of the most eligible bachelors in the country. Salman Khan has had his share of girlfriends. In fact, on a recent game show hosted by him, choreographer and director Farah Khan jokingly said that Salman only likes girls who have an accent. We think that there is some truth in this statement made by Farah.

1) Sangeeta Bijlani

Sangeeta Bijlani, the former Miss India, was one of the first women that Salman dated when he stepped into the film industry. In fact, Salman Khan has even admitted that Sangeeta and he were planning to get married, but things didn’t work out between the two.

Despite their breakup, Sangeeta still remains close to the Khan family. Sangeeta even attended Salman’s sister, Arpita Khan Sharma’s wedding.

 

2) Somy Ali

Somy Ali, a Pakistani actress, was one of the many girls who had fallen for Salman Khan. Salman dated Somy, who was only 17 years old, in 1993.  

However, soon enough the couple called it quits-Somy could not stand Salman’s alcoholism and Salman could not stand Somy’s immaturity.

 

3) Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

One of the most talked about love stories of Bollywood was the Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan saga. Salman started dating the former Miss World in 1999. It is believed that the two actors fell for each other while working together on the film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.

Their relationship was going well, but after some time, Salman became extremely possessive about Aishwarya. Salman would show up unannounced on Aishwarya’s film sets and once he even created a scene outside her apartment at 3 am in the night! Salman allegedly kept on banging on the door of the actress’ apartment and even threatened to kill himself if she did not open the door.

Aishwarya eventually got fed up with Salman’s behavior. She was bothered by the fact that she was more in the news for her relationship with Salman than for her work. Aishwarya broke up with the superstar and is now happily married to actor Abhishek Bachchan, with whom she has a daughter named Aaradhya.  

 

4) Katrina Kaif

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have also dated each other. Salman helped Katrina enter Bollywood with the film ‘Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya?’ The couple dated for a while but eventually broke up. After her breakup, Katrina went on to date actor Ranbir Kapoor.

It is believed that Salman was serious about his relationship with Katrina. In fact, he even fought with actor Shah Rukh Khan on Katrina Kaif’s birthday. After this fight, both Shah Rukh and Salman stopped talking to each other. However, later on, the actors patched up at an iftar party.  

At his sister, Arpita Khan Sharma’s wedding, Salman even took the mike and announced that Katrina Kaif ‘Kapoor’ had missed out on the chance of becoming a Khan. However, both Katrina and Salman continue to remain good friends.

 

5) Iulia Vantur

Salman is currently dating Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur. Like his previous girlfriends, Salman launched his alleged girlfriend into Bollywood with a song in the movie ‘O Teri’. Iulia has even spent a lot of time with the entire Khan family.

Iulia has been shuttling to and fro between Mumbai and Romania to make her relationship with the actor work.
