Throwback to Virat and Anushka’s Beautiful Tuscan Wedding!

Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, got married to actress Anushka Sharma on 11th December 2017. The hush-hush ceremony was held at Borgo Finocchieto-an exclusive resort in the Tuscan region of Italy.

Here’s a throwback to this lovely wedding that set the tone for all the other Bollywood weddings that happened in 2018!

Delhi-based wedding planner ‘The Shaadi Squad’, was chosen to plan Virushka’s dreamy wedding in Italy.

Flowers dominated the decor for Virat and Anushka’s pre-wedding ceremonies and the final wedding ceremony. The wedding decor was designed by Devika Narain & Company.

Since it was a day wedding, Anushka and Virat both wore beautiful pastel-colored outfits.

The outfits for all the ceremonies of this celebrity couple were designed by acclaimed designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Virat and Anushka wanted their wedding ceremony to be extremely private. In fact, the couple also had a confidentiality clause for the wedding. According to this clause, everyone involved in the wedding (guests included), were prohibited from posting any images of their wedding on social media.

The couple had said that once both of them posted their wedding picture on social media, then only everyone else could post pictures. True to their word, the couple uploaded one picture each from their respective social media handles. The following was the caption for their pictures: “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

After their destination wedding, the couple hosted two receptions-one in Virat’s hometown Delhi and the other in Mumbai. The outfits worn by Virushka for the reception, were once again designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
