Generally there is no odor in urine. But sometimes when passing urine there is a sharp odor. This smell can be foul and difficult to bear. The first reason is not drinking enough water. Doctors say that when your body becomes dehydrated, urine starts to appear in a high concentration and its color becomes darker. Rehydrate your body by drinking enough water, it is essential that you keep drinking water several times a day – at least eight glasses.
2) Strong Odor Diet and Coffee
You will be surprised to know that there are many such foods that change the smell of your urine, such as Brussels sprouts, onion, some special spices, garlic, curry, salmon, fennel and alcohol. In fact, excessive consumption of coffee can also change your urine odor.
UTI is the most common cause of foul smelling urine in women. When it smells sweet or smells like sharp ammonia then the possibility of a UTI infection is very high.
