dodha burfi Ingredients to make ( Ingredients to make dodha burfi Recipe in Gujarati )

  • Milk 1/2 litre
  • malai/cream 4 tablespoon
  • Fine cracked wheat 1 tablespoon
  • clarified butter/ ghee 1 teaspoon
  • Cocoa powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Chopped almonds 3 tablespoon
  • Chopped cashews 3 tablespoon
  • cashews and rose petals for garnishing

How to make dodha burfi

  1. In a small pan stir fry cracked wheat with ghee over medium heat, till it turns brown in color
  2. Now add milk and cream to this, let it boil till milk begins to thicken for about 30 minutes stirring occasionally
  3. Add sugar and mix well
  4. Keep cooking for about 5 more minutes stirring continuously
  5. Add cocoa powder and nuts ( you can add pistachios also)
  6. Stir till the mixture starts leaving the sides of pan
  7. Transfer the dodha to a greased square plate
  8. While dodha remains little warm cut them in pieces
  9. Garnish with cashews and rose petals and serve
