I went exactly as per the recipe, but the proportions of achari masala are so high that the gravy turned brown and bitter instead of red and spicy, and I had to salvage the curry by discarding half the masala and adding sugar, pasta sauce and curd. Even then, it was slightly bitter in taste. Please correct the proportions of the recipe.
