Quinoa And Red Cabbage Salad Ingredients for making quinoa: 1/2 cup of quinoa 1 cup of water Other Ingredients for making salad: 1 cup of shredded red cabbage 1/2 cup of shredded carrots 1/3 cup of chopped green onion 1/3 cup of roasted almonds sliced 1 tbsp of roasted sesame seeds Ingredients for salad dressing: 2 tbsp of of any cooking oil 1 tbsp of rice wine vinegar 1 tsp of honey 1/4 tsp tsp of soya sauce 1/8 tsp of sesame oil Salt and pepper as per taste Method for cooking quinoa: 1. Add quinoa in a bowl and rinse it. 2. Add quinoa into a strainer and wash it under running water. Drain it. 3. Bring 1 cup of water to boil on medium heat and add quinoa to it. Cover with lid and Cook until the quinoa has absorbed all the water. 4. Remove from heat and let the quinoa steam for few minutes with lid on. 5. Remove the lid and fluff the quinoa with fork. Season with salt and keep aside and let it cool down completely Method for making dressing 1. Add oil, vinegar, honey, soya sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper in airtight jar and shake well and keep aside Method for making salad: 1. Add shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped green onions, sliced almonds, sesame seeds and salad dressing in a bowl and toss them until combined. 2. Serve it on cabbage leaves immediately.
