This is famous chinese soup made with chicken stock and finally whisked egg is dropped into it slowly and cooked .i tried it for the first time.i served to my mother and brother.They told it came out super..

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken with bones 1/4 kilo
  2. Onion 1
  3. Ginger 1 inch sliced pieces 3
  4. Chopped ginger 2 inch piece
  5. 1 green chilli
  6. A pinch of turmeric powder
  7. 6 garlic cloves
  8. 1 bay leaf
  9. Black pepper as per taste
  10. Water 2 Glasses

Instructions

  1. Take chopped ginger, 4 pealed garlic,bayleaf and sliced onion
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker add ginger,garlic,bay leaf and onion.
  3. Saute for a minute
  4. Then add chicken and saute for 5 minutes
  5. Add salt .Mix well
  6. Add 2 glasses of water
  7. Mix well
  8. Add pepper .Mix well
  9. Cover and pressure cook for 7 whistles.
  10. After 7 whistles switch of flame and let it cool
  11. Chop 2 inch ginger,2 garlic cloves ,1 green chilli into pieces
  12. Take a bowl mix one spoon of cornflour in water and make it into a slurry
  13. Take 1 egg in a bowl and whisk it
  14. After cooling of pressure cooker drain it and take chicken stock separately
  15. I measured it with a tea cup i got 3 cups stock .(What you see in the cup is chicken stock)
  16. Again switch on stove place a vessel and add 3 cups chicken stock into it
  17. Add chopped green chilli,garlic, ginger to it
  18. Bring it to boil
  19. Add cornflour slurry to it and let it thicken ,cook for 2 minutes
  20. Pour whisked egg slowly into it. cook for 2 minutes
  21. As pinch of turmeric powder for colour.cook for half minute.
  22. Take into a bowl.top some green chillies and sprinkle some pepper powder.
  23. Egg drop soup is ready to serve.serve hot.
