ABOUT Quail Pepper Roast RECIPE

Easy, aromatic, simple recipe followed by simple marination and sauteing

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 onion, sliced
  2. 1 tomato,
  3. 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  4. 1 sprig curry leaves
  5. TO MARINATE
  6. 500 gms quail
  7. 2 tablespoons red chilly powder
  8. 1 tablespoon cumin -coriander powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  11. 1 tablespoon beaten curd
  12. Salt to taste
  13. TO GRIND
  14. 3/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
  15. 1 tablespoon peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Take quail in a bowl. Marinate with all ingredients given under 'to marinate ' for atleast 30 min
  2. Dry roast peppercorns and fennel seeds for 2 min on medium flame
  3. Grind to coarse powder. Set aside
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, curry leaves. Saute till onion turns translucent
  5. Add Ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes off
  6. Now add marinated quail and mix well. Keep the flame medium
  7. When quail begins to release water, add tomato, ground powder and salt.
  8. Mix well and close the pan for 20 min on medium flame.. stir occasionally
  9. Switch off when meat is cooked. Serve hot with rice
