Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. FOR THE BATTER ; Gram flour or besan 1 1/2 cups
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Taaza spices Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  6. Ciba taaza spices kasoori methi 2 tbsp
  7. Water 3/4 cup
  8. Baking soda 1/8 tsp
  9. Potatoes large 2

Instructions

  1. Make a semi thick batter using all the ingredients mentioned in the list.
  2. Use of water depends on the quality of the flour.
  3. So use it accordingly and make a semi thick batter.
  4. Cover and let it rest for half an hour.
  5. Heat enough oil for frying on a medium high heat.
  6. Peel and slice potatoes either manually or using a potato slicer.
  7. Dip them one by one in the batter to coat evenly on all sides and slowly slide them in the hot oil few at a time.
  8. Do not over crowd the kadai.
  9. Deep fry by turning at regular intervals and cook evenly on both the sides.
  10. Serve with ciba taaza spices chaat masala sprinkled on top for iftaar.
