ABOUT Zafrani paneer rezala RECIPE

Paneer rezala, a vegetarian mughlai delicacy, where paneer cubes are cooked in a nut based white gravy. Very easy and tasty recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Paneer cubes 200gm
  2. Onion 1 chopped roughly
  3. Thick curd 1/2cup
  4. Cashew paste 2tbsp
  5. Saffron few strands (soaked in warm milk)
  6. Black pepper powder 1tsp
  7. Bayleaf 2
  8. Dry red chilli 2
  9. cinnamon 1"
  10. Cardamom 2
  11. Cloves 3
  12. Pepper corn 4-5
  13. Sugar 1 pinch
  14. salt as per taste
  15. Oil/ghee 2tbsp

Instructions

  1. Fry the paneer cubes lightly.
  2. Blend thick curd, onion, black pepper together.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add bayleaf, dry red chilli, whole garam masala, fry till nice aroma comes.
  4. Lower the flame, add the yoghurt mixture, stir well. Cook further for few mins.
  5. Add the fried paneer cubes, salt, sugar, mix, cover and cook 5mins.
  6. Add cashew paste. Mix well.
  7. Switch off and add the saffron mixture on top.
  8. You can enjoy this with biriyani, pulao or some steamed rice.
