About Baigan ka Bharta Recipe

This baigan ka bharta is a good combination with Rice and Chapati. The combination of baigan and tomato with musturd oil smell brings a mouth watering tastes.

Baigan ka Bharta

Ingredients to make Baigan ka Bharta

  • Baigan- 2no.
  • onion-1no. Chopped
  • garlic-5 to 6 cloves (crushed)
  • ginger-2inch (crushed)
  • green chilly -1 or 2 chopped
  • tomato -1 big
  • rice dumplings ( badi in odiya)-5-6
  • salt to taste
  • haldi Powder- 1 pinch
  • mustard Oil-2tbsp
  • coriander leaves-1 tsp finely chopped

How to make Baigan ka Bharta

  1. Step-1 - Slit both the baigan and put it in flame.
  2. Step-2 - Prick the tomato and also put it in flame.
  3. Step-3- once both baigan and tomato are done take it out from flame and then wash and peel the outer cover
  4. Step-4- Mash both baigan and tomato and keep them aside
  5. Step-5- Now heat a kadai and put oil. Once the oil get heated put onion and fry them a little
  6. Step-6- After the onion get pinkish colour add crushed ginger garlic and chopped green chillies. And fry them till garlic and ginger get golden colour
  7. Step-7- In the mean time add rice dumpling by crushing with hand and fry them till they are done
  8. Step-8- Now add the mashed baigan and tomato. And add haldi powder and salt to taste. Mix them very well. Cook for few secs.
  9. Step-9- Finally add the chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Step-10- It's ready to serve. You can serve it with Chapati or Rice.

My Tip:

You can adjust green chillies according to your taste.
