Healthy dish with beans and moong dhal

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Beans 250 grams
  2. Moong dhal 150 grams
  3. Dried red chilli 6 nos
  4. asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Fenel seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  6. salt to taste
  7. oil 1 tablespoon
  8. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  9. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dhal in water for half an hour.
  2. Finely chop the beans.
  3. Grind soaked dhal, asafoetida, dried chilli, fenel seeds and salt without adding water in a mixer grinder.
  4. Steam cook the dhal mix in a steamer till its cooked.
  5. Now let it cool and scramble the dhal into smaller chunks
  6. Now pour oil, pop mustard seeds, curry leaves and saute the beans with salt.When it is half done, add dhal mix and saute till the beans get completely cooked
  7. Serve hot with rice
