ABOUT Fruit curry RECIPE

This is a curry prepared using fruits.. served along with other curries prepared during special occassions. It is prepared by the mangalorean Brahmin community, but loved by all. I could make it after many tries and with the help of my family and friends. Here is my recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 ripe mango
  2. 4 slices of pineapple
  3. Few grapes
  4. 1/2 cup fresh Grated Coconut
  5. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  6. 1 dried red chilly
  7. 1-1/2 tsp grated jaggery.
  8. Salt as per taste.

Instructions

  1. Roughly cut mangoes along with skin. You can also add the seed. Add into a bowl.
  2. Chop pineapple slices
  3. Add grapes and other fruits into a bowl.
  4. In a blender add mustard seeds , and chilly. Grind coarsely. Add coconut , jaggery , salt into the blender. Add little water and grind into paste. Not very fine...
  5. Mix the masala into the fruit bowl. Check seasoning and adjust if required.
  6. Fruit curry is ready.
