Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup sabut kali urad dal
  2. half cup rajma [kidney beans]
  3. 2 big onions
  4. 2 big tomatoes
  5. 1 cup cream
  6. ginger garlic and green chilli paste 2 tsp
  7. desi ghee
  8. 1 tea spoon jeera [cumin seeds]
  9. green cardamom [elaichi] - 2
  10. tej pata 2 [bay leaf]
  11. Salt
  12. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  13. Turmeric [haldi] powder - 1/2 tsp
  14. Kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
  15. salt

Instructions

  1. Soak overnight kali urad and rajma and pressure cook with salt haldi ginger garlic green cardamom tej pata till dal is tender and keep aside.heat desi ghee in a deep bottom pan add onion chopped cook till brown now add chopped tamatoes.
  2. Add ginger garlic and green chilli paste cook till tamatoes are mashed and oil is released. Add red chilli pwd salt and cooked dal simmer for 10 minute add water if dal is thicken according to taste. Add cream and kasuri methi .
  3. Cook for another 2 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaf tamato slice onion ring and cream. Dal makhni is ready to serve.
