A great way to use up leftover cake, this recipe is a sure-fire hit and super easy to make

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 200 grams leftover cake. Any cake.
  2. For the ganache: 100 grams dark or milk chocolate
  3. 100 ml low fat cream
  4. For the topping: 200 grams dark chocolate atleast 50 per cent cocoa
  5. sprinkles of your choice

Instructions

  1. 1. Make the ganache: Break 100 grams of chocolate into pieces in a bowl.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, bring the cream to a boil and pour it over the broken pieces of chocolate. Let it melt. Use a whisk to mix it well only shiny and glossy.
  3. 3. Crumble the cake using your hands. Add ganache to it and knead it into a smooth dough.
  4. 4. Roll out little balls using your hands. Pierce a lollipop stick into the cake pop and freeze for 30 minutes.
  5. 5. When you're ready, melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. And keep your sprinkles ready in a small bowls.
  6. 6. Remove the cake pops from the freezer and dip them into the melted chocolate. The cold cake will help the melted chocolate set quickly, so smear the sprinkles over it quickly.
  7. 7. Turn the cake pops over and let it stand in a glass. Refrigerate until serving.
