ABOUT PULL APART PIZZA ROLLS RECIPE

Try out this easy pizza flavoured pull apart bread.. You can play around with different flavours and toppings, for example- green coriander and mint masala, keema for non-vegetarians or if you like a sweet one go for jams, fruit sauces, chocolate sauce . This is a perfect bread for snacking anytime or for breakfast. Kids will surely love it.

Ingredients Serving: 12

  1. Maida/white flour ........... 2 cups
  2. Fresh yeast ... 1 cube (1 tablespoon)
  3. Salt ............ 1 tsp.
  4. Sugar ......... 2 tsp.
  5. Ghee/butter .......... 1 tsp.
  6. Luke warm water for kneading.
  7. (Ingredients for masala/filling:)
  8. Onion ............... 1 grated
  9. Capsicum/bell pepper....... 1/2 (shredded very finely)
  10. Tomatoes ...... 2 (blanched and pureed)
  11. Ginger-garlic paste .... 1tbsp.
  12. Oregano ........ 1tsp.
  13. Red chilli powder ....1/4 tsp.
  14. Tomato ketchup ... 1 tbsp.
  15. Salt .............. to taste
  16. Oil ............. 1tbsp.

Instructions

  1. Take the flour, make a well in the middle. Put only the sugar and crumble the yeast on top of the sugar.
  2. Sprinkle the salt on the side (there should be no contact between the yeast and the salt.
  3. Knead the dough using the luke warm water.Add the ghee and knead it well for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Cover it and leave it in a warm place till it is risen to double. (about 15-20 mins. in summer....in winter it takes a little longer)
  5. Take the dough and apply a little butter/ghee on a clean platform and roll it into a rectangular shape like a swiss roll.
  6. Spread the masala on it and roll into a cylindrical shape as shown in the picture.
  7. Using a fine thread cut into 1/2 inch pieces and place them close to each other in a greased baking tray (a 9'' deep baking tray will be just right)
  8. Again let them rise till double. Pre-heat the oven and bake for 15-17 minutes.
