This dried chambal is a best side dish for aappam which is very famous in my native place.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Dried maldive fish piece- 1 big piece
  2. red chilly- 3 r 4 (adjust)
  3. grated coconut-1\3 cup
  4. pearl onion -6-8
  5. tamarind -small berry size
  6. garlic pods-2 r 3
  7. curry leaves-few
  8. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take all ur ingredients and keep ready. Roast the red chilly in direct flame.Break maasi into pieces.
  2. Transfer red chilly,maasi,grated coconut,shallot,tamarind,garlic pods,salt,curry leaves in to a mixer.
  3. Grind it into a coarse form.(don't add water).
