ABOUT Mutton Chilli Pepper Fry RECIPE

Being a big fan of Indo-Chinese cuisine, I try making them at my own pace..This particular recipe Mutton Chilli Pepper Fry is loved by my family..Whenever there is any house party, I make sure this dish is there on my table..I tried to make it a bit healthy by not deep frying, instead sautè.As Eid is round the corner, sweets and fried delicacies are what everyone loves..But I am sharing this dish, as it has a tangy and spicy flavor ,which I am sure would definitely be a tongue twister..Eid Mubarak and enjoy this dish!! .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton boneless-400gms (cut into 2inch cubes)
  2. 2 Onions -diced/juliennes
  3. 1/2 Red Pepper- diced/juliennes
  4. 1/2 yellow pepper- diced /juliennes
  5. 1 tsp  crushed ginger
  6. 1 tsp crushed garlic
  7. 1/2 tsp red chilli sauce
  8. 1 1/4 cup water
  9. 1 tbsp soya sauce
  10. I tbsp tomato ketchup
  11. 1 1/2 tsp cornflour
  12. 1 tsp vinegar
  13. 1 egg
  14. 1 tbsp oil
  15. Salt to taste
  16. I tbsp ginger, garlic and green chilli paste for marination
  17. 1/2 tsp chilli powder for marination
  18. 1/4 tsp black pepper powder for marination

Instructions

  1. Marinate the cleaned mutton with the ground paste & other items listed under marination. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the mutton in pressure cooker for 15 minutes.
  3. Cool down completely Cool down completely
  4. Take the cooled mutton pieces in a vessel. Add cornflour salt and egg . Give it a nice mix.
  5. Heat oil in a wok. Lightly saute the mutton pieces.Take them out from the wok.
  6. In the same wok add crushed ginger and garlic and fry for a minute. Then add the onions and bell peppers along with chillies.Saute for a while.
  7. One by one add soya, chilli and tomato sauce. Also add the Vinegar.
  8. Now add the mutton pieces. Toss it with the rest of the ingredients..Adjust the seasoning according to taste.
  9. Serve hot ..You can serve this as a starter or even with gravy noodles or roti..
