ABOUT Chicken Pakode RECIPE

Marinated chicken pieces, dipped in a spicy batter and deep fried to an appealing gold perfection. Dunk them in ketchup, yogurt dip or mint chutney to savour the meaty crispiness.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gm chicken with bone's or without bone's - cut into 3 cm cubes
  2. 6-7 garlic pods
  3. 2.5 cm ginger piece
  4. 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  5. Red chilli powder1/4 tsp
  6. 1/4 tsp Salt
  7. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  8. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  9. 2 tsp Lemon juice
  10. For the batter :
  11. 1 egg
  12. 2 tbsp gram flour
  13. 2 tbsp refined flour
  14. 2 tsp Lemon juice
  15. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  16. 1/4 tsp Salt
  17. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  18. Oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Add the remaining ingredient.
  3. Keep aside for at least an hour.
  4. Mix together all the ingredients for the batter and beat thoroughly.
  5. Heat oil in a kadahi. Deep a marinated chicken piece in the batter and deep-fry until crisp and golden brown.
  6. Repeat with the remaining chicken pieces, draining excess oil on absorbent kitchen paper.
  7. Serve with mint chutney , Sezwaan Chutney.
