Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Besan Pakora :
  2. Besan /Gram flour -1/2 cup
  3. Onion -1 ,big (finely chopped)
  4. Green chillies -2 finely chopped
  5. Baking soda -a pinch
  6. Ginger -1/2 tsp (finely chopped)
  7. Salt -To taste
  8. Water - 1/3 cup
  9. Oil -For Fry
  10. For Kadhi :
  11. Sour Curd - 1 cup
  12. Water -1 1/2 cups
  13. Turmeric Powder -1/2 tsp
  14. Salt- To taste
  15. Besan - 3 tbsp
  16. To Temper :
  17. Oil - 1 tbsp
  18. Fenugreek seeds -1/4 tsp
  19. Mustard Seeds -1/4 tsp
  20. Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
  21. Hing -1/4 tsp
  22. Dry Red chillies -2
  23. Ghee -1 tbsp
  24. Red chilli Powder -3/4 tsp
  25. Coriander leaves -1 tbsp (finely chopped ),For garnishing

Instructions

  1. *For Pakora : Take a bowl add the all ingredients except oil and water.Mix with well.Then add the water .The batter should be like idli batter .Heat oil in a kadai.
  2. *Drop a spoonful of batter ,fry them on both sides until golden brown.Follow the same procedure for remaining batter.
  3. For Kadhi : Whisk the curd with salt,besan,turmeric powder and water without any lumps,keep it aside.
  4. *Heat Oil in a kdai temper with Fenugreek seeds,Mustard seeds,cumin seeds,Hing.Then add the curd - flour batter,mix with well continuously without any lumps in medium flame.
  5. If the mixture becomes very thick then add 1/2 cup water and mix it.Cook it for 10-12 mins .Now add the deep fried pakoras,mix and cook another 2-3 mins.Switch off the flame.
  6. *In a tempering vessel heat ghee,fry the ginger and red chilly,switch off the flame.Now add the red chilli powder.Mix and immediately pour in kadhi.Mix it .Garnish with coriander leaves.
