Rice Flour Kachauri

Ingredients to make Rice Flour Kachauri

  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Bengal Gram 1/2 cup (soaked for 2 hours)
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • anardana 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • oil for frying
  • Hot water for kneading dough

How to make Rice Flour Kachauri

  1. Pressure cook Dal for 2 whistle on high and 1 on slow along with salt & turmeric. Let it rest.
  2. Mix hot water (approx 1 cup), salt & Rice flour in a big bowl with the help of spoon.
  3. Drain the dal in strainer. Make sure that water is completely removed.
  4. Add 2 tbsp oil in a kadhai, add cumin seeds, hing, ginger garlic paste, cook for a minute & add chilli powder, garam masala, anardana/ chat masala & cooked dal. Mash the dal properly & mix well. Add some chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Take the dough if it is sticky, add some flour. Now knead for some time.
  6. Divide the dough in equal balls.
  7. Take one portion & fill with dal stuffing & roll to make small puris.
  8. Heat oil in a frying pan & fry the kachauris. Enjoy hot crispy kachauris with aloo ki rasse wali sabzi or tea.

My Tip:

We can use many other stuffings in place of dal like peas, potato mix masala etc.
