ABOUT Multi Grain Ladoo RECIPE

A very health and yet very tasty multi grain ladoo loaded with millet's, nuts & ghee!! Do try out for your kid’s school snack! I'm sure it will be a hit snack recipe for your loved ones!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Thinai/Foxtail millet – 3 tbsp
  2. Kambu/Pearl millet – 3 tbsp
  3. Ragi/Finger millet – 3 tbsp
  4. Varagu/Kodo millet – 3 tbsp
  5. Saamai/Little millet – 3 tbsp
  6. Moong dal (green gram) – 2 tbsp
  7. Pottukadalai or channa dal (bengal gram) - 3 tbsp
  8. Peanuts - 2 tbsp
  9. Aval/Flattened rice - 3 tbsp
  10. Castor Sugar – 1/4 cup
  11. Cardamom – 4 crushed
  12. Melted Ghee – 1/4 cup (adjust according to quantity used)

Instructions

  1. Take a wide sauce pan and add fox tail millet, pearl millet, finger millet, kodo millet, little millet, chana dal, moong dal, aval, and peanuts. Dry roast these until fragrant.
  2. Remove onto a plate and leave these to cool completely. Upon cooling grind to fine powder and take this into a bowl and add sugar and cardamom powder.
  3. Melt ghee and set aside to cool lightly. Slowly pour in warm melted ghee and knead lightly. When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape them into ladoo’s.
  4. You can store them in air tight container.
