ABOUT Healthy open sandwich RECIPE

Have soaked semolina, oats powder, rice flour and veggies in fresh curd with some spices. Spread this mixture on healthy multigrain bread and toast them on tava till golden brown.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Multigrain bread 6
  2. butter as required for toasting
  3. For making the layer on the bread:
  4. semolina 1/2 cup
  5. Roasted crushed oats (powder) 1/2 cup
  6. Rice flour 1/4 Cup
  7. Fresh homemade curd 2/3 cup
  8. salt to taste
  9. Finely chopped coriander 2 tbsp
  10. Finely chopped carrots 2 tbsp
  11. Finely chopped green capsicum 2 tbsp
  12. Finely chopped cabbage 2 tbsp
  13. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  14. Roasted cumin seeds powder 1 tsp
  15. dry ginger powder 1/2 tsp
  16. Green chilli paste 1 tsp
  17. Sandwich masala 1/2 tsp
  18. asafoetida a pinch


  1. Mix all the ingredients for making layer on the bread in a bowl and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  2. If the mixture becomes very dry add some more curd or little water.
  3. Spread the mixture on the multigrain bread evenly.
  4. Heat the tava and put butter on it.
  5. Toast the open sandwich from both the sides and the cut it into two halves diagonally.
  6. Serve the open sandwich with tomato ketchup
