ABOUT Dahi Bhindi RECIPE

curd is the best option to beat the heat. Bhindi/Okra has many health benefits. instaed of frying them here i sed them in a curry. I have used jaggery to give it a sweet tooth and tamaring to make it sour. In total a power packed dish and need very little time to cook.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bhindi/okra/ladies finger 5-7
  2. curd half cup
  3. 1 ionion paste
  4. ginger garlic paste
  5. tamarind pulp
  6. some jaggery
  7. salt
  8. oil
  9. turmeric powder
  10. cumin and corrainder powder
  11. red chilli powder
  12. 3-4 shallots

Instructions

  1. heat oil in a pan, add onion ginger and garlic paste
  2. saute till the oil separates
  3. add the curd and mix well
  4. add all the dry spices and salt
  5. add the shallots and saute for 3 mins
  6. add tamarind pulp and jaggery
  7. add 1 cup water and okra and mix well
  8. cook till you get the consistency you want
  9. serve with roti or steam rice
