Cury is the base of this gravy. Very light for the stomach during summers. it is very easy to cook. very minimal ingredients required to make this dish. It is mostly enjoyed in West Bengal and Assam.We prefer to use river fish in this gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fish pieces - 4
  2. curd - 1 cup
  3. salt
  4. mustard oil
  5. Green chillis - 2
  6. kalunji or onion seeds - 1 tsp
  7. turmeric powder - 1 tsp


  1. apply salt and turmeric powder to the fish
  2. fry in mustard oil
  3. add kalunji green chilli to the oil
  4. add curd mix well
  5. add salt and turmeric powder
  6. add water and fish
  7. cook for 5 minutes and serve
