ABOUT Smoky Chicken afgani gravy RECIPE

This is a delicious recipe of chicken, cooked in spices and curd. This is a rich chicken curry that can be served with roti , naan or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken - 300 gm
  2. Onion - 2
  3. Garlic - 5 cloves
  4. Green chilli - 4
  5. Ginger - 1 inch
  6. Curd - 1/2 cup
  7. Coriander leaves [handful]
  8. Salt
  9. Lemon juice
  10. Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  11. Dry fenugreek leaves [2 tbsp]
  12. Chat masala - 1/2 tsp
  13. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  14. Cream - 2 tbsp
  15. Coal for smell
  16. Butter or ghee
  17. Oil

Instructions

  1. Grind the onion, green chilli, corriander leaves, ginger, garlic in a mixture.
  2. Then marinate the chicken with lemon juice, salt, pepper, chat masala, garam masala and crushed dry fenugreek leaves.
  3. Then add grinding paste, curd, cream and marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
  4. On the flame, then put oil in it.
  5. Fry the marinated chicken in a oil for 10minutes until red in colour.
  6. Then add the remaining marination in a chicken.
  7. And fry it. Cover it for 8minutes.
  8. Then off the flame. Add fenugreek leaves.
  9. In a middle of a gravy stand the small bowl with charcoal.
  10. Add some butter or ghee on the charcoal. And cover it.
  11. After 5 minutes open the lid. And serve it.
