Now you don't have to go to fancyrestaurants and pay a huge amount for vegetarians favorite dish "Paneer buttermasala". Thisdishcame out so well that my hubby said , that he will stop going out for having paneer now!!So here is therestaurant stylerecipefor all the paneer lovers.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Cottage cheese (paneer ) - 200 grams (cut it in thick cubes)
  2. Red tomatoes - 4 medium sized(diced)
  3. Onions - 2 medium sized(diced)and 1 thin sliced
  4. Greenchilies- 2 to 3Garlic - 7 to 8 cloves
  5. Fresh coriander for garnishingSalt as per taste
  6. Red chili powder - as per tasteTurmeric powder - half tsp
  7. Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  8. Mango powder - 1 tbsp
  9. Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  10. Sugar - half tsp
  11. Yellow butter - 1 spoon
  12. Fresh cream or malai - 1 tbsp
  13. Milk - half cup

Instructions

  1. Take a wok and add 1 tsp oil. Let it heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds. Wait for crackling sound.
  3. Now add onions along with garlic .
  4. Now stir it till they turn little pink in color.
  5. Now addTomatoes and mix them.
  6. Add salt ,turmeric powder,sugar and chili powder.
  7. Now add milk in it.
  8. When you will find the tomatoes are turning soft.Turn off the flame.
  9. Let the masala cools down completely.
  10. After that take a jar and grind the masala (make a proper paste)
  11. Now in the same wok add half tsp oil again and take 1 onion (medium sized)and cut it in very thin slices and put this into the oil with green chilies.Stir it for 4 to 5 minutes and now add the gravy paste.
  12. Now in the gravy add mango powder, coriander powder and some more salt if needed. Now add butter and cream in the gravy.
  13. Mix well and add little water (not too much)I have taken half cup only. Now when the gravy starts turning thick add paneer cubes in it.
  14. Lastly garnish it with fresh coriander.
