ABOUT Dahi wali bhindi RECIPE

This dish is very healthy, made with okhras or lady fingers. This can be served with just some roti on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 500gm bhindi
  2. 2 big chopped onion
  3. 1tsp garlic chopped
  4. 1tsp ginger chopped
  5. 1tsp green chili chopped
  6. 1tbsp rosted besan
  7. 3tbsp curd
  8. Spice according to taste
  9. salt
  10. Red chilli
  11. Garam masala
  12. Dhaniya powder
  13. haldi powder
  14. Amchoor
  15. 1tsp ajwayen
  16. 1tbsp oil


  1. Wash and pat dry the lady fingers, and slice them vertically.
  2. Now heat some oil in a pan. Add the carom seeds and then add the garlic & green chillies. saute them and then add the chopped ginger as well.
  3. Now add the chopped onion and saute further. Then add all the powdered spices and the amchoor. Mix well and saute.
  4. Now add the curd and mix well, cook until the masala leaves oil. Then add the lady fingers and mix well.
  5. When the lady fingers become soft. then add some more amchoor on top. Then add roasted besan and mix well. Switch off the gas flame and mix well. Serve hot.
