Dal poori

Ingredients to make Dal poori

  • chana dal - 1 glass
  • water - 2 glass
  • haldi - 1/2 tspn
  • salt
  • onions - 1 big
  • garlic leaves - 4
  • red chilli powder - 1 tspn
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
  • wheat flour - 3 cups
  • water for dough
  • oil for frying

How to make Dal poori

  1. TAKE CHANA DAL IN PRESSURE COOKER
  2. ADD WATER DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF DAL
  3. ADD HALDI AND SALT.
  4. CLOSE THE LID AND KEEP ON HIGH FLAME
  5. COOK UPTO 2 WHISTLES, SLOW THE FLAME FOR 5 MIN
  6. TAKE OUT THE DAL AND ALLOW IT TO COOL
  7. HEAT OIL, ADD GREEN CHILLIES AND CUMIN SEEDS
  8. ADD CHOPPED ONIONS
  9. ADD CRUSHED GARLIC
  10. NOW ADD THE COOKED DAL AND SAUTE
  11. ADD RED CHILLI POWDER, BLACK PEPPER POWDER AND COOK WELL
  12. KEEP THE DAL ASIDE FOR 2 MIN
  13. NOW WITH ANY UTENSIL, MASH THE DAL, THE DAL SHOULD BE LITTLE HOT AS IT BECOMES EASY TO MASH
  14. THE CONSISTENCY SHOULD BE LIKE THIS
  15. PREPARE DOUGH AND FILL THE DAL FILLING
  16. MAKE IT IN THE FORM OF POORIS
  17. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL
