ABOUT Chicken malai handi RECIPE

This is a delicious chicken curry, made with spices and cream, to be served with rice or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Dahi [curd] 50 grm
  2. Chicken breast 500 grm
  3. Fresh cream 2 tbsp
  4. Garlic+ginger paste 2 tsp
  5. white pepper powder 1 tsp
  6. black pepper powder 1 tsp
  7. salt 2 tsp
  8. Potato 3
  9. coriander leaves [chopped] 1/2 tsp
  10. Green chili 6
  11. Bullet green chili 3
  12. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  13. Kashmiri lal mirch 1/2 tsp
  14. garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  15. Butter 1 tbsp
  16. hot water 2 cup
  17. White sesame seed or til paste 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the chicken breast into pieces.
  2. Now mix curd, ginger garlic paste. black and white pepper powder, sesame seeds paste, turmeric powder, kashmirir lal mirch powder, and cream into the chicken. Marinate this for 2-3 hours.
  3. Now cut the potatoes into halves, and then fry them in hot oil and keep aside.
  4. Now in the same pan, add some more butter or oil, add the marinated chicken and mix. Cook until the chicken is half done and then add the fried potatoes. Mix well.
  5. Now add the hot water into the pan and mix well.
  6. Once the gravy is semi thick and everything is cooked, add the slit chillies, and chopped coriander leaves. Mix and serve hot.
