Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 banana
  2. 1 cup curd
  3. 1/2 Cup Sooji (semolina)
  4. 1/2 Cup wheat flour
  5. Few strand of kesar
  6. 1/2 Tsp. elachi powder (cardamom)
  7. 1/2 Tsp. saunf powder (fennel seeds)
  8. 1/2 Tsp. saunf (fennel seeds)
  9. Pinch salt
  10. Ghee for deep frying
  11. For Sugar syrup:
  12. 1/2 Cup jaggery
  13. 2 Cups water
  14. Few strands of kesar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl,mash the bananas. Now add curd,sooji,wheat flour.
  2. Add kesar, elachi powder, saunf powder, saunf.Mix all the ingredients till a smooth lump free batter is formed.
  3. Keep the batter aside for 1-2 hours. After 2 hours once the batter is nice and fluffy, add ghee to the pan, heat the skillet and pour small amount of batter.
  4. Cook on small flame till lightly brown from both the side.Dip the malpuas in the jaggery syrup for around 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. Serve it on a plate and garnish it with pistas and almonds.
