ABOUT paneer stuffed spinach kofta curry RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. spinach 2 cups chopped
  2. paneer 50 gms
  3. besan 1 tsp
  4. crushed garlic 1 tsp
  5. onion 1
  6. garlic pods 5-6
  7. cinnamon stick 1/2 inch
  8. cardamom 1
  9. clove 3-4
  10. salt as per taste
  11. sugar 1 tsp
  12. chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
  13. black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  14. cornflour 1 tablespoon
  15. oil
  16. cashew 5-6
  17. poppy seeds 1 tsp
  18. bay leaf 1
  19. kasuri methi 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop spinach
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté crushed garlic and red chilli 1 tsp
  3. Add spinach
  4. Add salt and mix well
  5. Add 1 tsp besan and mix well
  6. Take them out to cool
  7. Mash grated paneer
  8. Till smooth and creamy
  9. Add 1/2 tsp of chilli flakes and black pepper
  10. Make small balls
  11. Grease your palm and take some spinach,place a paneer ball in the centre and cover
  12. Make all the koftas
  13. Heat oil in a pan
  14. Coat these koftas in cornflour
  15. Deep fry them
  16. Take them out
  17. Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon and bay leaf..add onion and garlic paste
  18. Sauté
  19. Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,zeera powder and dhania powder
  20. Add tomato purée 1 cup
  21. Make a paste using cashew and poppy seeds
  22. Add cardamom and clove..add the white paste
  23. Add salt and sugar
  24. Add water for desired consistency
  25. Add fresh cream or Malai
  26. Cut the koftas and add it to the curry
  27. Sprinkle some kasuri methi and serve hot
