About Chilli Parotta Recipe

It is a famous street food in Tamilnadu. Parottas are deep fried, cooked in spicy sauce and tastes yumm.

Chilli Parotta

Ingredients to make Chilli Parotta

  • 4 Instant Ceylon parottas
  • oil for frying
  • 2 onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 1 capsicum sliced
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • chopped coriander n spring onions

How to make Chilli Parotta

  1. Chop the parottas into small pieces and deep fry in the hot oil, keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.
  3. Put thinly sliced onions n saute 2- 3 minutes .now add ginger garlic paste n saute till raw smell leaves
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy.
  5. Add chilli powder ,salt, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well.
  6. Now add sliced capsicum and just toss it.
  7. Now add tomato sauce, soya sauce and a little water. Add the fried parotta pieces, toss it well till the parotta pieces are covered with masala.
  8. Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander and spring onion. Serve hot with onion raita
