ABOUT KADHI BARI RECIPE

This is a delicious curry , made with vadi , spices and yoghurt, to be served with hot rice on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Bari Besan - 1 cup
  2. Salt - to taste
  3. Oil - 1/2 cup
  4. Water - 1/4 cup
  5. For kadhi Besan - 2 tbsp
  6. Curd - 1/2 cup
  7. Water - 3 cup
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
  10. Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  11. Whole red chilly - 1
  12. Asafoetida - a pinch
  13. Oil - 2 tbsp
  14. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  15. Salt - to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl add besan and 1/4 cup of water and mix well.
  2. Make a smooth batter with whisk.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and pour one tbsp batter in the hot oil
  4. Deep fry all bari in hot oil until golden n crispy.
  5. Simmer after we dropped all the bari and cook in medium flame until done.
  6. Now bari is done.
  7. For kadhi
  8. We take besan,curd,turmeric powder,red chilly powder and garlic paste,salt and enough water and mix well.
  9. Heat oil in a pan and add besan curd mixture cook on medium flame till the gravy become thick
  10. Cook for 8 - 10 mins.,now kadhi is ready add the fried bari to this kadhi
  11. Heat oil in a pan,add asafoetida,whole red chilly and cumin seeds to crackle
  12. Add in the kadhi bari and serve with steamed rice.
