Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Rice Flour - 2 cups
  2. Roasted gram dal flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Curd - 1/2 cup
  4. Green chillies -2
  5. Salt -to taste
  6. oil -for frying
  7. Lemon juice -2 tsp
  8. Mustard seeds -1 tsp
  9. water -as needed

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the mustard seeds until it splutters,keep aside.Blend the curd and green chillies to a smooth.
  2. In a take the rice flour,roasted gram dal flour ,roasted mustard seeds,salt, curd mixture,lemon juice.Mix it .
  3. Gradually add the water to make a soft and pliable dough
  4. Heat enough oil in a kadai,take a murukku press with star shaped mould,fill the gough with 3/4 .Once the oil is hot,squeezed out the murukku directly in circular motion.Cook at medium flame,flip it in between.
  5. Once it turns golden brown,remove it from oil and place it in kitchen paper.Once it cooled down completely stored it in airtight container.
