ABOUT Curd Idli RECIPE

You have had Idlis with sambhar, today try with spiced curd.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Idlis 6
  2. Oil 2 tbsp
  3. Curd 1 +1/2 cup
  4. Coconut milk 1/4 cup
  5. Ginger 2"
  6. Green chilies 2
  7. Green coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  8. Salt 1 tesp
  9. Sugar 1 tesp
  10. Mustard seeds 1/2 tesp
  11. Asafoetida a pinch
  12. Curry leaves 5-6
  13. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp

Instructions

  1. In whisked curd mix coconut milk, finely chopped green chilies, grated ginger, 1/2 tesp salt and sugar.
  2. Prepare the tempering of mustard seed, Asafoetida and curry leaves in 1 tesp oil and add to curd mixture.
  3. Apply some oil over Idlis on both sides and sprinkle with some salt and red chilli powder.
  4. Roast Idlis on a non stick pan nicely, both sides.
  5. Arrange roasted Idlis in a platter and top with spiced curd.
  6. Garnish with julliens of ginger and green chilies.
