About Dahi murgh Recipe

A simple chicken dish that has got curd and Indian spices added to it. The tanginess of the curd adds an extra punch to this dish.

Dahi murgh

Ingredients to make Dahi murgh

  • oil- 1 tbsp
  • chicken - 750 grams
  • onion chopped - 1
  • tomato chopped - 1
  • Green chilli - 1
  • garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • curd - 200 ml
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • garam masala powder - 1 pinch
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Dahi murgh

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and green chilli. Fry till onions turn brown
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell is gone
  3. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and fry well
  4. Add tomato and allow the tomatoes to cook
  5. Once the tomatoes are cooked, add the chicken and fry it in the masala for a minute
  6. Add the curd and mix well.
  7. Add salt to taste. cover and allow the chicken to cook for 15 minutes.
  8. Dahi murgh is ready to be served

My Tip:

If the gravy is too thin or watery, then mix a tbsp of wheat flour to 100 ml water and add it to the gravy. Stir well.
