  1. Raw Rice –
  2. 1 glass, salt - ½ tsp, Oil 4 tsp

Instructions

  1. : Soak the Rice for 2 or 3 hrs. Then grind in the mixi. The consistency of the batter should be of Rava Dosa. Thin batter. To this add salt and oil mix well and Keep aside.
  2. Heat a pan add 2 tsp oil and spread all sides…to this now add the batter and keep stirring without removing hands. You will see lumps ……keep mixing till it becomes thick.
  3. Keep the flame low and close and keep for 2 mins. Now again mix well. If you see no white colour batter and dip you hands in water and give a press in the maav if it does not stick to your hands then it is cooked.
  4. . Remove from fire and close and keep for 5 mins.Now take small portions and with hands greased in oil give a nice mix of this maav so that it becomes smooth. Now take small portion and make cylinders to the thickness of a pen.
  5. Steam these cylinders like we do idlis. Once you see a shine over these cylinders then its cooked remove them in a plate and allow to cool nicely. Now take 5 / 8 cylinders at a time and cut them to small roundels like we cut beans.

  7. Then Take a pan add oil , put Mustad seeds, redchillis , green chillies once they flutter add the coconut, salt and hing….Mix well …Now add the cut roundels of the cylinders and mix well tasty MANI KOZHAKATTAI is ready
