ABOUT Biryani Rice RECIPE

Biryani rice – a mild flavored, aromatic rice dish. Biryani rice has balanced flavor of whole spices in it with fried onions.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 tbsp ghee
  2. ¼ cup curd
  3. 1 cup basmati rice soaked 30 minutes
  4. 1 bay leaf
  5. 1 inch cinnamon
  6. 3 pods cardamom
  7. 1 star anise
  8. 5 cloves
  9. ½ tsp fennel
  10. 1 tsp cumin
  11. 1 onion finely chopped
  12. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  13. 1 green chilli slit
  14. ¼ tsp turmeric Powder
  15. 1 tomato finely chopped
  16. ½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  17. 1 tsp biryani masala
  18. 1 tsp salt
  19. 2 tbsp mint finely chopped
  20. 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
  21. 2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Firstly, in a pressure cooker heat 2 tbsp ghee and saute spices. also saute 1 onion followed by 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 green chilli.
  2. Add 1 tomato and saute till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy. further keeping the flame on low, add ¼ cup whisked curd and saute till the curd combines well without curdling.
  3. now add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp biryani masala and 1 tsp salt. saute on low flame till it turns aromatic. additionally, add 2 tbsp mint and 2 tbsp coriander. mix well.
  4. furthermore, add 1 cup basmati rice and 2 cup water. mix well.
  5. cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium flame or till rice gets cooked completely. finally, serve Biryani rice with raita ,salad or any curry.
