Paneer Shashlik is a vegetarian alternative to chicken shashlik. It can be enjoyed as a snack or as a main course.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 250 gms
  2. Hung curd 1 cup
  3. Garlic paste 1 tsp
  4. Ginger Paste 1 Tsp
  5. Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander seeds 1/2 tsp crushed
  8. Kasoori Methi 1 tsp
  9. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  10. Salt 1/2 tsp
  11. Capsicum 1
  12. Onion 1
  13. Tomato 1
  14. Oil 2 tbsp
  15. Chat masala 1 tsp
  16. Bamboo skewers 10

Instructions

  1. Slice onion.Cut capsicum into 1 inch square pieces.Cut tomato also into square pieces.
  2. Cut paneer into chunks.
  3. Take thick curd in a bowl add all spices ,lemon juice,ginger garlic paste and kasoori methi. Don't add salt.Add paneer,onion,capsicum and tomato pieces. Add 1 tsp oil.Keep the content to marinate for one hour at least.
  4. Now add salt .Take skewer, skew onion,capsicum,paneer then tomato.
  5. Prepare all skewers .
  6. Heat oil on the griddle .Put skewers on the non stick griddle ,shallow fry them till they get brown from all sides.
  7. Transfer shashlik on serving plate Sprinkle chat masala and serve with green curd chutney.
