Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curd, very sour....2 cups
  2. Besan 1 cup
  3. Desi ghee
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Ginger garlic paste...2 tea spoon
  6. Coriander seeds 1 tea spoon
  7. Kasuri methi ...1 tea spoon
  8. Cumin seeds...1 tea spoon
  9. Fenugreek seeds...1/2 tea spoon
  10. Desi ghee ...1 table spoon
  11. Cloves...3 or 4
  12. Dry red chillies ...3 or 4
  13. Turmeric powder...1 tea spoon
  14. Red chilly powder...1 tea spoon
  15. Curry leaves...8 or 10
  16. Asafoetida...1 pinch
  17. Besan pakoris or pakodas for kadhi...8 to 10

Instructions

  1. Blend curd, besan and 5 cups of water with salt, red chilly powder and turmeric powder
  2. Heat desi ghee in a karahi and add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds, cloves, curry leaves and dry red chillies and let them cook. Reserve a tea spoon of this tadka for final plating
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, add the kadhi batter
  4. Cook till it gets semi thick now add pakoras and cook till kadhi gets thicker
  5. Enjoy hot lawa in a bowl with chapati or rice
  6. Pour tadka , if desired on the bowl of kadhi, it enhances the taste
